The lightweight steel structure is a new kind of industrial constructions. It has been developed most rapidly and applied widely in industrial,residential and public buildings with much its advantages,such as fast and easy construction,attractive appearance,light weight,low constructive price,etc. This paper presents the review and summary of the development situation,characteristic and shape of the lightweight steel structures. lightweight steel structure is in various lotus carry under the combination of quiet loading ability, anti-vibration ability and the anti- tumbled down function to carry on analysis research, and combine to be close to lightweight steel structure in the last years on this foundation because of nature disaster occurrence of trouble, carried on analysis and thinking, from design and construction the angle put forward to avoid the views of trouble.According to criterion all kinds of unfavorable load combinations being considered in the bearing capability analysis,the lightweight steel structure of sleeper workshop is calculated separately at the action of six load combination cases by using software. The deformation and internal force of structural members may be obtained. The results are satisfied with the design.The dynamic characteristics of lightweight steel structure are also respectively calculated and analyzed in single span or whole structure. The computational results show that the out-Planar stiffness has great influences on dynamic characteristics during the single span calculation; in the total structural analysis the crane has no evidently effect on dynamic characteristics with contrast to single span.For a seismic analysis of lightweight steel structure,the response spectra and time history acceleration method are applied to calculate in the paper,the computational results show that the load responses of structural members are small at different earthquake intensity; The sleeper workshop is very safe. It indicates the lightweight steel structure has favorable anti-seismic capability.
