The open-colse ablity enable the bascule bridge to balance th traffic on road andalong the river.However,it also brings new problems for structure design of basculebridge.In the paper,Xiangluowan Bascule Bridge on Hai-river was taken as a casestudy,and the open-close procedure was studied numerically by FEM.The research wascomposedofthreeparts:Based on basic principles of dynamics, the normal open-close procedure wassimulatedbyimplict intergrationmethod.Thevariationofstress at somekeylocations onthe bridge structure during the open-close procedure was analyzed.By calculating therationofdynamicandstaticstresses,thedynamiceffectwasdetermined.Accidental impact during the open-close procedure of the bascule bridge, such aspower failure and equipment breakdown, was simulated.The impact effect was analyzedand compared for dfferent bridge positions and different impact intensities.The impactwassuccessfullysimplifiedtoasetofequivalentloads.The structural behavior of the bascule bridge during the open-close procedure wasstudied,by considering the dead load,wind load and the queivlent impact loadsimutanously.The stress on the bridge structure and the required power to open or closethebridgeweredetermined,toensurethesafetyofthebasculebridge. |
