Study Of Ease-to-Use Design For Semi-auto Packing Equipment Based On User-centered Theory

Packing machinery is a kind of equipment for manufacture. It is very important in one country's development and its people's livelihood. The Packing machinery Industry has made great progress in the past decades in China in its technology. But as for another essential aspect, design problems have been ignored. There are still many problems, like inconvenient or unsafe operation, which causes many accidents when the machine is in use. The core of this study is how to improve the ease-operation. The domestic packaging machinery design is still at the lower level at present, and the most still remain in the stage of function as a guide for design. It reflected in the lack of considering the user, do not meet user awareness, and heavy memory burden, easy fatigue and distracted and so on. To address this issue, this dissertation will introduce user-centered theory in the design of packaging machine, and understand the user's needs through the fully user research, so the design could make the comprehensive consideration of the user and improve the ease-operation.The dissertation emphasized the importance of user research as the most important factor of improving the ease-operation and descending the rate of accidents. The writer introduced the user research to the design of production facilities. In this dissertation, the writer got the research result through many different design surveys, then constructed and modified User Model based on the data and the information. The User Model would be used to provide the way of design, and give the consideration of improving the Operability and Maintainability of the whole system, which makes the machinery safer and easier to use, and improves the efficiency of the system.The dissertation discussed the process of user research and the method of ease-to-use design of the packing equipment, and finally proved the study with a case of packing equipment of packing explosives for civilian use.
