In this paper, the problem is how to evaluate good or bad performance of suspension. That is with which design parameters, testing way and evaluation indicators to do a rational evaluation of kinematics and dynamics on independent suspension. So that to ensure the car has good ride and handling stability.Using Multi-Body System Dynamic theories and ADAMS software, this article established a comprehensive suspension virtual prototype database. It can not only construct model with a particular form or parameters easily, but also provide a comparative analysis platform for the suspension of various structural forms and the same structure but different parameters. In addition, proposed a comprehensive suspension kinematics evaluation target, such as wheel alignment, steer compliance, body trim and roll, reincarnation, tire scrub and so on; gave the exact definitions of these parameters and endeavored to discuss the changeable characteristics and their influence to the vehicle handling performance; Constructed the suspension's overall development platform by merging the simulation,experiment,evaluation and optimization into one organic.Making the suspension system matching in the new vehicle development as an example, established macpherson type, wishbone type, multi-link type, trailing type suspension systems as well as established the steering system, the tire, the anti-roll system which the entire vehicle model needed and assembled different plans according to simulation request into an entire vehicle model. In the parallel wheel travel testing, analyzed Kinematics and dynamics rules, the relationship between suspension system and handling performances, the influence of suspension system on ride comfort performances. At last, assessed the suspension performances preliminarily and verified the accuracy of models further.The model of multi-link independent suspension enriched the suspension template in ADAMS/CAR software. Using ADAMS/CAR's dynamic simulation environment to establish parameter model and assess the performance can not only develop a more scientific method for cars, but also laid the foundation for matching design in the chassis.
