With the rapid development of the economic and the improvement of the living level in our country, urban centralized heating and cooling develops continuously. The scope of heating supply spreads from north to south in China, and the cooling supply develops in a contrary direction. So it is demanded to develop the system which can supply heating, cooling and power together. This kind system with energy-saving and environment-protecting has good economic and social benefit.A large scale heating-cooling-power supply system in Wu Han is taken as the study object. Firstly, the supply load is calculated and the characteristic of heating supply in different seasons is analyzed. Then technical conditions and the operation methods are given based on the global imagination of all conditions. Then supervising parameters and control strategies, which are the precondition of the design of the automation, are raised accordingly.The auto-control methods of this kind of compound system are studied deeply, on the basis of the characteristic of the climate in Wu Han and that of the supply load. The methods which are used in this paper and the conclusions can be taken as a reference for the design of this kind system in the middle region of China, where it is hot in summer and cold in winter.
