The residential area, as the region that people live and rest, occupy an important position in people's lives, people's demand for the living in areas no longer merely stay the requirements of the hardware facilities, requirements of color become increasingly more and more. So investigating and studying the color of the residential area become very necessary and urgent.By taking pictures on-the-spot, comparing NCS to record the color number, the study did detailed investigation and obtained first-hand objective information. Through an objective analysis of the data, the study arrived at the regular pattern of the color of Wang jing residential area and the existing problems. Based on the current problems, the study researched and studied the color used in the residential area, so as to arrive at a guiding proposal and provide actual color reference for the future settlements color design of this residential area or the color planning in other residential areas.
