Typical vortex theory and panel method have been provided to set up a model of ducted-propeller. The capabilities have been added for modeling the center-body, providing nonlinear blade lift characteristics, calculating the performance of the lift and power of the propeller at different advance ratios. Using Fortran language, we develop a computer program which can compute the duct surface pressure distributions, and aerodynamic performance at any angle of attack and advance ratios. These parameters have provided the theory basis for the combinative design of the duct, the propeller, the deflector as well as the vertical rudder.On the basis of the model calculation and theoretical analysis, we integrate with the existing information and engineering design experience, and develop the design of anti-torque System of ducted propeller with the aerodynamic characteristics tool of airfoil Profili 2.2 version, including the airfoil selection of propeller, duct, distributor and rudder. According to the model results and the actual layout, we can select the pitch angle of propeller , identify the location of the system's components and given the sketch design.
