Voltage is an important index to weigh the quality of power system, whether the voltage can be in the proper range or not can affect not only the safety of power industry but also millions of consumers. The reactive power's effect on the system voltage is very great. Keeping reactive power's balance of the electrical network under a normal operation mode is necessary for the improvement of voltage quality. In order to adjust the system voltage in a proper range, control the balance of reactive power and improve economical operation of substation, it is essential to adjust voltage and reactive power of substation. Especially with the rapid increasing of generating capacity of our country, under the situation of power supply is abundant, the consumer will bring forward higher demand to the electric energy quality necessarily, and the voltage quality will become the primary competition factor of power market. So it is a technique problem which should resolve urgently, and it has great practicality meaning.This paper analyzes the voltage/reactive power characteristic of distribution network at present and traditional reactive power/voltage control measures, and enumerates the limitation of reactive power compensation devices, It also analyzes the limitation of 9 sub region reactive power/voltage controlling method which is applied in the distribution network presently, aiming at the requirement of "voltage and reactive power technique rules of power system", combine with the practical condition of Gaotan substation, the new strategy for the control of reactive power/voltage is proposed.The following tasks were done in this thesis:â‘ the research condition of voltage and reactive power control strategy of substation in and abroad are analyzed;â‘¡the principle of substation voltage/Var controlling is analyzed, and the deficiency of Nine-zone voltage/Var control strategy is enumerated;â‘¢the voltage and reactive power control object and the adjust principle and order of transformer on-load tap and the in paralleled capacitor is proposed. Basing on the analysis of the characteristic of Guang'an power network, the mathematical model of Gaotan substation voltage/Var controlling is established, and the arithmetic is also proposed;â‘£through the numerical simulation calculation when Gaotan substation voltage scale out after the change of the load and the above system voltage of the substation, the feasibility,validity and engineering practicability of the voltage/Var control strategy proposed in the thesis are verified.
