The use of advanced gas turbine technology for power generation is an effective measure to increase the using level of gas by-product and save energy by reducing emission in iron and steel enterprise. Research on technologies and energy-saving measures about continuous and stable operation of the gas turbine in variable load conditions is very important for iron and steel enterprise.According to the research on the generation and use condition of gas and the operation characteristics of gas turbine, it is known that the gas turbine must be used to adjust the gas supply because of the effect about dynamic imbalance in the gas production process and the limited of regulating capacity of the gas storage. When the gas supply is serious shortage, the gas turbine is forced to run in under 40% nominal load. The flow of the gas supply pipeline reduces suddenly when the load is decreasing and the outlet pressure of the backflow pipeline is increasing in gas compressor, it will cause the gas compressor's surge and make the gas turbine stop because of the low pressure in inlet.In order to achieve the continuous operation of the gas turbine under low-load, the author studied the mixed gas flowing law of the supply pipeline under different inlet pressure of the blast furnace gas and outlet pressure of the backflow by numerical simulation.The results showed that the pipeline will be jammed and the gas could even flow back when the loading of gas turbine falls down to 40% and the pressure of backflow pipeline rises to 100kPa with the recent arrangement of backflow pipeline. This is the main reason that the flow of gas decreases and the gas turbine can't run continuously; If the backflow pipeline is jointed with the blast furnace gas pipeline in 60 degrees angles with the vertical direction near the inlet of the blast furnace gas pipeline, the flow of gas wouldn't decrease even the limited pressure of backflow rises to 200kPa. The gas turbine could run continuously.
