This thesis chooses Wuhan urban public bus stations as research objects, and illustrates this topic with No. 581 bus route stops. It attempts to do some effective or creative research in the relationship between urban public bus stations and urban space by means of field survey, statistics analysis and comparison study. The bus station is one of the important parts of mass transit, whose basic goal is to meet the people's needs. The role of public bus station changed as long as the time proceeding and urban renewal. Public bus station not only was the place for passengers to get on and off or to change the bus but also gradually developed to be a multiple space of multifarious functions. They could reflect the development of urban space from a new perspective, and become the"epitome"of urban space. The significances of the study is that the author brought the public bus station into design region of urban space, and provided a new consideration for the study of urban space by re-comprehension urban space from a new perspective.Because of the complexity and long-term process of the urban space problems, we do not aim at the specific design methods. Instead, we try to build a conceptual research framework by logic, and to attempt to delve the reciprocal impacts between urban public bus stations and urban space. Furthermore, we hope this effort can form a base for the in-depth study in the future.
