With the rapid development of economy and the acceleration of urbanization in the 21st century,cities are suffering from various problems such as the swift growth of population,air pollution,acid rain,and so on.One of the best ways to solve these problems is to perfect the structure of green space system and make full use of it.However,the lack of guidance of scientific theories and practical methods leads to the unreasonable layout and the discount of functions and benefits of greenbelts.Therefore,it is particularly important to advocate the scientific and sustainable development of urban green space system planning.The development of new times calls for new theories and methodologies.Based on the analysis of theoretical research on Planning of Urban Green Space System at home and abroad and the introduction of theories and methods of the Organic Evolution of urban green space system,the study attempts to make use of the functions of green space scientifically and reasonably in order to set up a harmonious and stable urban green space system to balance the ecology.Firstly,this thesis reviews the propositional background,developing process,study scope and the content of the Organic Evolution,and then makes a deep and systematic study of the theory and its practical content.On the base of three mechanisms of the green space system,i.e.,variation,natural selection and artificial selection,we make a further study of the influence of organic evolution of urban green space system on the factors and their functions.The factors can be classified into three target layers:mass approval, environment and internal genes.And the three target layers can be further classified into nine item layers:government management,expert check,public participation,natural environment,social environment,layout and structure,compositional factor and function and benefit.Each item layer includes several influencing factors and the three layers combines with each other to make up of a multi-level and multi-factor system.Then,under the guidance of the organic evolution of urban green space system and the construction standards of Garden Cities and Ecological Garden Cities,we borrow the ideas of the achievements of the related index system of green space planning at home and abroad.According to the frame of structure-adaptation-coordination-function and the three-level structure of target-item-index,we screen 42 indexes to construct the index systerm of organic evolution in order to supplement and perfect the theoretical system of urban green space system.With index systerm of organic evolution,we make a systemic analysis of the planning, implements of the planning and the benefits of planning in the present green space planning of Shanghai(2002-2020).We find the experiences and limitations in the course of implementing Shanghai green space planning and also propose some measures in the future implementing of planning,which can offer theoretical basis and operable suggestions for the new construction of Shanghai green space planning.Then we will finish the new-round planning of the organic evolution of green space in Shanghai (2008-2015).Finally,the thesis makes a systematic conclusion of the main findings and the limitations of the study,and also gives some suggestions for further study.
