A Study On Bionic Design Of Form And Color

In the process of all product design, designer must give product form and color, whichever is real product or virtual one. So, the concept form and color is essential for our lives, especially for designers who must understand and analyze them in detail.This paper contains two parts which are bionic design of form and bionic design of color, pointing out the bionic design has existed as a system and contributed its unlimited power for human being. Bionic design is a key tool for designers.On the bionic design of form, paper analyzed the bionics of specific form, abstract form, construction and material feeling. Expounding the principal and process of specific bionics and abstract bionics in detail, the paper proves the principal and process in cases'study. Furthermore, the paper points out the"simplified regularity"and"character lines'regularity".On the bionic design of color, the paper pays emphasis on the origin and principal of color bionic design, pointing out that natural colors are the origin of color bionic design. The paper generalizes normal color bionic design as one-color bionics, two-color bionics and multi-color bionics, finding the design regularity of the color bionic design. At last, warning color bionic design and hiding color bionic design were pointed out, giving the bionic principal and applied field.
