| Nowadays aesthetic has evolved into an open system, which can be studied from different angles and in various ways. It could be a branch of philosophy, a research in archaeology or a discovery of science. This dissertation is based on the scientific discovery to find how to create the aesthetic feeling and how to perceive it in digital time by uncovering the relationships between material, structure, functionality, form and the architecture aesthetic intention. Moreover it points out the development trends of the design idea in digital time.Today, the digital technique has brought great changes on the mode of production and the style of living. With the background of information society, the architecture also has tremendous changes. One example is the new aesthetic trend which emphasizes non-uniform, disharmony and incompleteness shown in contemporary western avant-garde architectures, and the computer playing a more and more important role in architecture design. The traditional architectural aesthetic is oppugned continually, and the urgent need of a new architecture aesthetics framework in the information age is supposed to be built. The dissertation firstly focuses on outstanding the changes about architecture material, structure, functionality and form brought by the information revolution.Moving on it elaborates on changes of four aspects: the new application of new material has updated the people's aesthetic idea, the changes of the inner logic between the new structures and the forms, and the deep discovery of functional aesthetics influences the aesthetic idea of people, and the appearance of new architecture form will create new challenges for traditional aesthetic idea. Finally the dissertation points out that the architecture aesthetics will break the constraint of architecture form and will develop forward continuously by understanding better the functional aesthetic. In addition, the dissertation reminds the architects that although their creation can be more free by computer technique, the computer technique itself can't ensure the success of their work without theoretical creation; Architects should not let the computer technique be a new constraint for architecture design. |
