With the development of society and technology, people have more and more demands of vehicle riding quality. The fine smoothness and low noise are key characteristics of modern vehicle. NVH(Noise Vibration and Harshness)is the main index of evaluating performance of the fine smoothness and low noise. Plant is one of most important vibration source of vehicle. How to insulate plant vibration transfer to vehicle body/frame and decrease vibration and noise, improve the riding comfort performance becomes an important problem. However, the plant mounting system is a six-freedom degrees vibration system, vibration coupling extends the range of frequency which will cause resonance and increase the difficulty of vibration isolation. The main research is contained in this paper: measuring the main parameters of plant, analyzing the engine input force and isolation principle, creating the whole vehicle model by which the isolation effect of plant mounting could be known and the optimization of parameters of plant rubber mounting component and of vehicle riding quality could be acquired so that improvement of the fine smoothness and low noise can be received. For three-point-layout engine mount system, plant mount system optimization program is programmed. The natural characteristics of plant mounting system can be calculated by this programmed. This paper analyses synthetically items of capability of the mount system on the basic of having gained basic parameters of plant of Vela. The analysis provides basis for sound matching of mount, low the cost of product develop, shorten the period of design. The optimization simulation is made. Compared with the original vehicle, the performance of vibration isolation of the optimized mounting system is improved. The results and methods of the study are helpful for the design of automobile plant mounts or other similar isolating mount systems.
