At present much research into static voltage problem of power system focus onvoltage stability, however, system operators are more concerned about whether thebus voltage is qualified or not in practical system operating. Chinese Power SystemSecurity and Stability Guidelines is strict with bus voltage in both normal operatingmode and N-1 outage. When the overrun buses of voltage occurs in power system, operator need to correct bus reactive power to make voltage recover normality. Thenthe system can meet the need of N-1 calibration. So how to adjust bus reactive powerreasonably is the focus of attention.Faced the overrun buses of voltage problems that happen frequently in Chinesenetwork, this paper introduced two analogous methods of N-1 outage and thenproposed a method for N-1voltage check in practical engineering using control card, which is applied to analyzing bus voltage of N-1 outage in practical power system andproposing three kinds of overrun buses of voltage .Aiming at the three kinds of bus overriding voltage, a strategy about voltagecorrection is introduced in this paper. This strategy uses spectral clustering systempartition arithmetic that is based on normal cut and Voltage sensitivity to search thesuitable compensation place and the best compensation capacitance. After correctionthe overrun buses of voltage situation doesn't exist anymore in power system in bothpower system normal mode and N-1 outage. The check method and computation strategy can be applied in cooperation withthe commercial software package for power system analysis used in China. Thisstrategy can greatly relieve the burden in the computation of operation mode andimprove work efficiency. Cases study on south of Hebei power system are given toshow the validity and effectiveness of the method and strategy.
