Typical Blackout Analysis And Countermeasures By Zhejiang Power Grid

In recent years, large-scale outages were paid wide attention. It's important to analyse the process and causes of the outages and learn lessons from them.The process of large scale outages occurred on November 4, 2006 in UCTC power grid and on August 14, 2003 in U. S and Canada are presented. The main causes and recommendations are summarized.According to the problems existing in Zhejiang power grid, countermeasures in aspects of power grid structure and three-defense lines are put forward.
