In this paper the nonlinear model of the single point EMS is firstly analyzed, and the linearized model is stated. Controller with airgap feedback and current feedback is designed. Afterwards the stable and dynamic response is studied through simulation and experiment.Based on the study of the single magnet EMS, an EMS control system applied in an experimental maglev is designed. Design of the suspension control system and communication system is mainly introduced. The experiment results show that the designed EMS control system can provide stable suspension for the maglev, and reliable control and surveillance despite of severe application conditions.Finally, two kinds of optimized control system models are proposed in order to improve interference inhibiting ability, in which acceleration feedback and velocity feedback is involved respectively. The interference inhibiting ability of both system models is researched through simulation and experiment.
