In recent years, color plays a more and more important role in auto market and has been hold to a strategic altitude. In order to make the right color marketing strategy, it is necessary for the company to master the right color trends. When it comes to the analysis of color trend, however, it seems that only authority institutions have sound analysis and forecast system. And the main methods are the Intuitive Prediction of experts who come from International Fashion Color Association and the Large-scale Data Statistics which comes from Japan. Both of these methods have their own limitations and constraints. Therefore, both of them can not be applied to common enterprises widely.The objective of this paper is to explore the analysis model of color trend, on the basis of rational analysis and the current data. The auto-color will be classified into three categories: permanent color, changing fashion color and experimental color. We will establish mathematical analysis model of the auto-color's trend by integrating the strength of suppliers which will pull the color market and the strength of consumers which will push the color market in the auto area, analyzing the advantages of different colors, introducing the concept of transfer matrix of unknown comprehensive factors, linking the two color markets of different time, Study each color respectively, and then analyze the three color categories, in this way, we can judge the development of the whole auto-color's market. Take the trend analysis of auto color in 2008 as the example, to use the model, discuss the conditions of application, then check and evaluate it.This research provides a simple trend analysis method with reliable mathematical basis, which will promote the development of rational analysis method of color trend. Describes the trend quantitatively, provides strong basis for the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to make the color trend analysis more scientific. It will lead the color trend analysis to a standardized and procedural way, and can be widely used and developed by common car manufacturers and color trends researchers. The model makes the car manufacturers get out of the trouble when facing complex data. They will be able to make their own judgment according to their own situation to master the trend of market, so as to provide their consumers with better service and to find the right direction for their development.
