With the development of the National Defence Industry, all kinds of aircraft data obtained in design, simulation and test keeps on growing and proposes great challenge for data management. An aircraft /engine database and application system utilizing advanced data management technology is designed to meet present data management demands.The Browser/Server framework was adopted and Oracle was used as the database management system of the database server. On the base of investigating the requirements of users, the design work of concept model, logic model, physics model, physics implement are fulfilled. The program and interface of the application system are designed in the .NET environment. Furthermore, the ADO.NET is used in database connection.According to application requirements the database consists of 6 parts, i.e., engine information, relative products, system simulation, system design, test flight information and field feedback. It can provide various kinds of information such as data, picture, film, software, model and etc.The system not only meets the needs of users of providing an effective way for aircraft/engine data management, but also helps to take full advantage of aircraft/engine data, enhance data share and guarantee data security.
