As the development of power network and the demand for better management, it is more important for power system to publish and share more information. However, by now there is no convenient information issuance system in most of EMS/SCADA systems, and a large amount of information can't be shared. Lack of shared information became an obstacle of the development of modern power system. It becomes a tide to issue the information in power system by widely using Web technology.In this paper we analyzed the present situation of information issuance system and give distributed and dynamic Web issuance module. We studied J2EE architecture and some important constituent components such as Java language and technique of database link. In addition, we built the three-tier Browser/Web Server/Database Server system based on J2EE. We can query and browse the data and history curve after download the Web pages, which contain JDBC transfer. It integrated the technologies of Web, Java, JSP, JDBC, server, database, and so on. The system is highly modularized, platform-independent and maintenances-free for clients.In this architecture, Browser asks the Web server for the database accessing in HTTP form. When receiving the request from client, Web server translates this request into SQL expression and transfers it to the database server. The database server will do data processing and return the results to the web sever. Then, Web server will translate the results from database server again, and turn them into HTML document and transmit to client's browser with friendly Web page form.In this information issuance system, all of the data from distributed power station are saved in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and are set as ODBC source. Javadatabase applications can visit various ODBC source by JDBC-ODBC bridge. After applications are translated and edited and debugged in JBuilder-X, they are deployed in WebLogic-8.1with graph documents such as voltage, current curves and so on, to help client browser client to access.This information issuance system is based on J2EE architecture and Web applications. We build the general and convenient information interchange platform by applying JDBC-ODBC bridge mode. The client doesn't need any software to install, and the information of power system is shared. It's valuable for promoting security and reliability of power network.
