Ultrasonic motor (USM) is a new type motor which applys the inverse piezoelectric effect of the ceramics which causes the ultrasonic vibration of stator to obtain a frictional driving force, which then drives the rotor, pressed against the stator. Compared with the conventional electric motor, USM has many features, such as compact in size, high-torque at low speed, high holding torque when power off, no magnetic interactive effect, quick response and quiet operation. Therefore, it is expected to be used in the field of small power level applications, such as aeronautics and space, robots, precise positioning devices, medical devices, miniaturized machines, and so on. Consequently, scientists home and abroad have paid more and more attentions to the research and applications.However, some characteristics of ultrasonic motor are still not clear. Therefore, to analyse the characteristics of ultrasonic motor is a very important part of ultrasonic motor examination.This thesis mainly through at the hardware platform of the core of PC technique, by applying of virtual instrument, achieve ultrasonic motor dynamic data acquiring system, for further research and industrialization.The contents are summarized as follows:The development and applications of ultrasonic motor are systematically reviewed. Subsequently, a review for testing technology of Ultrasonic motor is outlined.A traveling wave ultrasonic motor for the study, dynamic data acquiring system for ultrasonic motor is developed based on Virtual instrument. It provides ultrasonic motor with new means of test and research. This system introduces data collection, modern signal transaction and techniques of data fitting into the test and research of ultrasonic motor. A complete dynamic data acquiring system is firstly finished, bringing the theory and method of the test.Relative dynamic data acquiring experiment of ultrasonic motor is performed and the results are analyzed, and then proves the effectiveness of the acquisition system.
