Study On Green Space Construction And Control For The Old Districts Of Wanzhou, Chongqing

Over the last decade, with the rapid development of economy and the construction of the Three Gorges Project, Wanzhou stepped into a speeding urbanization epoch, and urban economic and visage has undergone tremendous changes. However, accompanied by a rise in water level in the Three Gorges Reservoir, the original city's ecological environment and urban greening have emerged with a certain degree of recession, especially in old district with slow pace of greening development. Therefore, in order to improve the old district of green space environment, new thinking about green space planning and management in old district were desired.In this paper, based on detailed in-depth investigation and analysis on the evolution and development of urban green status in old district of Wanzhou, the deficiencies and shortcomings in the planning and construction of green space are summed up. To start from the control and guidance in green space planning and the implementation and operation in management aspects, sustainable development of green space in old district of Wanzhou and the disappearing green features and green space public desired could be expected. At the same time, also hope that the case of Wanzhou could be a meaningful exploration of green space construction and control of old district in mountainous cities in three Gorges reservoir area.This article contained four parts to illustrate the issue.The first part: The introduction, mainly elaborated the importance of the topic and elaborated the scope limits of the study and established the research technique and the implementation frame of the paper.The second part mainly expatiated the background of the old district formation and the evolvement of old district with the three gorge project construction. The advantages and the existing problems of the old district in green space development were also expounded, followed by the review and evaluation and investigation of the current development and planning and construction of green space in Wanzhou city. There were three main reasons for the existing problems in green space construction: Value confliction, faultiness in planning and chaos in construction and administration. The last two aspects were the focus of planners concern. The following part of this article mainly involved these two aspects.In the third part, corresponding strategies about control and guide and implementation of green space in old district were put forward .In the planning control, multi-level control and guide methods were introduced by referencing relevant planning. In general layout, by integrating the comprehensive planning and urban green space system, increase of the quantity of green space and optimization of urban green space system were expected to achieve. In regulatory plan, green space index system should be established and three dimension evaluation index (e.g. green volume ratio) should be introduced. The construction of main green type should be guided. In the administration of green space, market-oriented management pattern, complemented by government management and public participation, should be set up. Firstly, green management system, including management system and legislative system and information technology support, should be integrated. Secondly, public participation should be strengthened by increasing its awareness, establishing organizations and offering effective participation ways. Also, accessible multi-channel long-term financing was the key guarantee of ecologically sustainable development of old district.The last part: The conclusion, through the research of Wanzhou, summed up the characteristics of green space development in old district of mountain city in the Three Gorges reservoir area and explored the old district of green construction and control.
