Storage of electric power plays a more and more important role in modern society, especially in the high-tech fieldS, that have very strictly requirement with the stability and reliability of electric power system. Flywheel energy storage is an advantageous type of late-model energy storage technology. At present, Flywheel energy storage technology has been successfully applied in many fields such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, electric power systems, hybrid electric vehicles, etc.The paper is mainly engaged in researches on power converter, the key component in Flywheel energy storage system (FESS). It should be a bi-directional power transformation instrume for the feedback of the power.The paper establishs the model at first, designs basic modules, and then integrates multiple modules into a whole power converter. Through analyses of physicalst ructure, work module and control mode of FESS, the paper proposes a global solution based on the TMS320LF2407 DSP chip, emphatically discusses the design of real-time control system and research on energy feedback technologye. In the design of real-time control system, the paper takes three-phase full-bridge inverter as the real-time control main circuit. This system is on the safe side and higher efficiency, because of adoptting modem controll technology of SVPWM and the Boost converter of DC/DC, the closed loop control of voltage and current, and combining with many ways of safeguard and reducing power wasting.On the whole, the main loop meets design requirements of power converter. The control loop takes a high speed, high performance TMS320LF2407 DSP chip as the control center, center, so it simplifies peripherals. The control software takes place of hardware circuit to implement the majority of functions, which is designed by means of C and assembly mixed programming. Finally, it reaches the design objective of the controller on a chip.The whole system has many features such as compact hardware circuit, high efficiency, low power wasting, high reliability and convenience for upgrade, yet has great application value.
