Aiming at the lack of designing and fabricating in the CAD field of internal crane industry, parametric design and parametric drawing of the whole machine system and structure are studied thoroughly in the paper, the modular and series design are accomplished, with the object of bridge crane, the core of CAD, and the idea of Oriented-Object(O-O).Open system of CAD, reasonable model of the object and the structure of the class-tree are developed in the topic, based on object-oriented technology. Overhead crane class is abstracted to demonstrate corresponding object by adopting object-oriented method. The essential information of crane and essential operation on the information are encapsulated in the overhead crane class.Object-oriented programming method is adopted to develop this system by using Visual C++ at Windows platform, by making good use of the four leading characteristics of object. Especially, the using of class and inheritance makes the structure reasonable. The calculations of the intensity, vigorous and stability of bridge crane are encapsulated as a module in the system. The results of the checking computations can be the restriction conditions in the optimization design. Given the basic parameters of the design, the system could output the process of the calculation and the results of the checking computations. It makes engineers and technicians release from the tedious manual calculation and make them put heart into creating work.The system completes the parametric drawing, taking the AutoCAD as supporting software, the script file as interface, the software has the independent operation system and the interface of software, and that it can make use of all the system orders of AutoCAD. In the system, they are encapsulated in the SCR class according to the OOP consuetude, the member functions in the class could be used in drawing process. The topic completes the research on 2D parametric drawing based on the overhead traveling crane structure, with the optimizing parameters , carries out the overhead traveling crane script file parametric drawing.The ideas of object-oriented technology and parametric design computation are combined to construct this parametric design system of overhead crane based on object-oriented technology. The corresponding technologies are fully used to design and compute structure of overhead crane. This system makes the deviser's design convenient and design period is shortened, and at the same time work efficiency is improved.
