A Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasure Of Residential Area Landscaping In Jinan City

The greenland landscape of residential district is an important part of urban green system and an important link of improving urban ecological environment.It also provides urban resident most outdoor activity space and is an important index of residential environment quality.This paper discussed landscape design of residential district,application of garden plant and landscape architecture opuscule in Jinan,and studies the residential environment comprehensively.It also expounds the design principles,contents,methods and steps of landscape design of residential district,by surveys of present status,and research of historY of residential district,especially gated residential district after 2000 in Jinan.The paper analyses the greenland distributional pattern,plant arrangement pattern, garden plants,and landscape architecture opuscule arrangement of landscape design of residential district.The purpose of this study:grasping the present status,feature and developing status;putting forward problems and measures in this paper;and discussing the prospect of the greenland landscape design of residential district in Jinan.The result shows:30 residential districts have been surveyed,in which 12 ones were built between 1980 and 1990;18 were built after 2000.Residential districts built before 2000 have lower greenland ratio,generally between 10%and 25%,and with lower plant biodiversity; while those built after 2000 have higher greenland ratio,generally above 35%,with higher plant biodiversity,and their ecological environment has been paid more attention.There are 106 species(including varieties and forma) of plants belonging to 37 families and 64 genus in residential district in Jinan,including 23 species of evergreen tree,1 species of bamboo,30 species of deciduous tree and 53 species of flowering bush, in which 7 species are woody vine and 16 species are woody ground cover plant.Also, there are 14 species of herb ground cover plants.Most of them are cold-season lawn grass and Trifolium.Lots of plant resources are suitable for plant arrangement in Jinan,but some of them,including native tree species,wild species and some exotic tree species, have not been arranged and used universally.Color-leaved plant have been used universally especially in color pattern.And most of these are Ligustrum vicaryi,Berberis thunbergii vat.atropurpurea,Sabina chinensis 'Kaizuca',Caryopteris clandonensis, Caryopteris incana and Rosa chinensis.Landscape architecture opuscules,such as water landscape,pergolas,kiosks, sculptures,rockeries,tables,are widely used in gated residential district.These landscape architecture opuscules and garden plants make the landscape of residential district abundantly.Residents can enjoy leisure and entertainment for various pavements,body building equipment and amusement equipments for children arrangement.Some high-grade residential district even have swimming pools,billiards rooms,chess and cards rooms,coffee shops,tea houses,basketball courts,tennis courts and so on.Methods for solving the existing problems and strategies for development: residential district landscape design needs synthetically analysis and appraising and follows the principle of aesthetics,applicability,humanity and ecology.The design should be scientifically and the greenland ratio should be higher.Landscape trees should be introduced,native trees should be exploited,and plant species should be enriched.A harmony and humanity residential district will be built by adding trees,enriching plant species,building landscape architecture opuscule,and designing rationally.
