Optimization of centrifugal pump opens up the new way to gain the good performance centrifugal pump,it is great significant to hydraulic power performance and improving of centrifugal pump.Optimization design of centrifugal pump can replace lots of experiments so that it saves a number of manpower,and material resources,at the same time,modern optimization design method can make up the defect of traditional method.Consequently,it is possible to devise pump of high-efficiency and saving-energy,and it will bring enormous social and economical profits。The major research work is listed:(1) This paper summarizes present situation of optimization design of centrifugal pump at home and abroad,and introduces basic theory of optimization design of centrifugal pump through analysis the inside flow and optimization theory.(2) This paper analyzed hydraulic design principles of centrifugal pump and gave mathematic models of every principle,which offered the basis of optimization design of centrifugal pump.(3) Parameters of centrifugal pump impeller and volute,which have influence in pump performance,were analyzed.And based the analysis,an optimum design model is given,whose objective functions are minimizing the energy losses and NPSH_r.(4) This paper adopt genetic algorithm and traditional compound shape algorithm to resolve the optimization design model,and adopt C++ language to drawn up general programs,choose example to calculate,and optimization results of two methods have been compared.(5) A lot of data were gained through carrying out optimization design of 556 centrifugal pumps.And it is discussed in this paper that the relations between the parameters and special speed of centrifugal pump as well as impeller major parameters' effects for performance.(6) Applied optimization design model,the predicted losses of centrifugal pump has been carried out.And compared with the results of traditional algorithm which to calculated losses,It proved the model is correct and feasible.
