| Project Logistics is one kind of logistics form which offers special service to project materials.It is the outcome of the development of both project management science and logistics management.With the development of management science,the management of large scale projects widely steps into the mode of management as EPC (Engineering,Procurement and Construction) general contract.The shippingw of heavy and large-scale equipment is the core of project logistics.The schedule management of this shipping becomes a vital problem that the suppliers of third party logistics service are facing and have to solve.Since heavy and Large-scale equipments are costly and exigent of safety,to shipping them safely and duly to the building site by limited logistics resource,such as time and cost,requires much effective schedule management of those equipments.This thesis affirms the importance of the management depending on empiricism that is widely used in the schedule management of heavy and large-scale equipment shipping during the past years.And we propose that the schedule management in the information era should be continually updated and improved with the progressing of shipping, instead of being a changeless plan.Hence,by introducing project management software, it is significantly meaningful to make exact statistics and optimization in the schedule management of heavy and large-scale equipment shipping.This is the point of this thesis.This thesis first introduces the basic method and theory solving schedule management of heavy and large-scale equipment shipping in project logistics.Then based on the operation practice in the management of a large chemical project the schedule management of heavy and large scale equipment shipping is divided into two steps,namely arranging the schedule of the equipments by empiricism and using project management software to control the schedule planning of single equipment.Finally,this thesis proposes three aspects that should be paid enough attention to in the schedule management,which are forceful management team,effective system to quantify the efficiency of resource,normative system to track and update the schedule,respectively. This thesis tries to give the general guidance for other Chinese logistics enterprises. |
