Most people have tried to conceal or decorate radiators by installing decorative covers.But in fact decorative covers have great influence on heat emission performance of radiators.The configurations and details of decorative covers are the key factors that affect the indoor air flow and distribution.Taking the covers of four-column radiator as the study objects in this thesis,research into the influence of different forms of decorative covers on thermal output of heat emitter by experiment and numerical simulation.The principal tasks of the thesis are as follow:The thesis has analysed and discussed the heat transfer process,the heat transfer model and the effect of different covers on heat transfer process in theory. This thesis has established the rational physical and mathematical models and has simulated the steady state distribution of indoor air temperature and velocity under different radiators'decorative covers in virtue of the software FLUENT,has figured out the thermal output of radiator under four different radiators'decorative covers and also has worked out the thermal output of non-decorative radiator. According to the numerical results,window shutterâ…¡is the best decorative cover and separated fence is the worst one. Difference of the thermal output between the two kinds of cases is nearly 15%.The thesis has test the influence of thermal output of radiator for four familiar decorative covers.The thesis has designed four familiar decorative covers, has obtained the exact thermal output of radiator by radiator thermal performance experimental platform.On the basis of the experimental data,the thesis has obtained the fitting formulas of the thermal output of radiators that install four decorative covers and has drawed the curves of the heat emission performance of radiators.The experimental results indicate that the curve of the heat emission performance of radiator for window shutterâ…¡deviates from the prescribed minimum level of non-hood performance curve.The separated fence cover brings the most influence of the thermal output of radiator.According to the experimental data,the results of numerical simulation have been validated.The thesis has analysed the influence of the structure and parameters of decorative covers on heat emission. When the angel of the vane deviates from vertical is 45 degree, the influence on thermal output of radiator brought by window shutterâ…¡decorative cover is the least.The thesis has analysed the influence of the top opening rate of decorative covers on heat emission.Results indicate that if the top opening rate of decorative covers retain 75%,the thermal output of radiators will be more.The vital facets on the design and manufacture of decorative covers has been discussed.The conclusion will provide reference for indoor heating design.
