Presently, people focus their eyes more and more on the vehicles used themselves. Petroleum and natural gas are now still being used by most vehicles, the exhaust gas it producing is doing great harms to environment and climate, as the fuel that supplying power to vehicles consuming, the price is more and more high. Because of this, it raises an upsurge on vehicle research with the purpose of high economical and emitting performance.Hybrid electric vehicle is a highlight in this tide. With its little emission and low oil consuming as well as getting rid of the flow of pure electric vehicle's short navigating distance; hybrid electric vehicle is now the preferable semi-cleanliness vehicle. The biggest different point between hybrid electric vehicle and the traditional vehicle is that, it brings in the power battery upon engine. Through harmonizing the two power resource, it reaches the purpose of low pollution, high economical efficiency. Thanks to the important role the battery plays, it is essential to manage the battery efficiently. This is response of battery management system.The battery management system of hybrid electric vehicle is an important method to ensure battery's high performance. It takes the response of measuring battery's various parameters, including voltage, current, temperature, state of charge and so on. It also provides essential parameter to energy assembling control system.Domestic research on battery management system of hybrid electric vehicle has been lasting out for a period of time, and has got many results, but still exists a distance towards the requirement of markets. The paper namely narrates the method to design and realize a battery management system of hybrid vehicle in the round, and also do some compare to the former research. Concrete content of this paper includes the design process of battery parameter measurement circuit, this method takes economical efficiency into consideration on the base of ensuring the measurement precision, makes it more superiority on market competition; in the design of battery management system's data-dealing node, the author brings forward a better state of charge calculating arithmetic, and uses a new software framework on the whole software design, eliminates potential fault in the former research's software.This paper completes the whole design and realization process, from hardware to software, of a hybrid electric vehicle's battery management system. On the flat roof of hardware, this paper uses MC68HC908GZ16 microcontroller that accords with the vehicle industrial standard, and executing in a higher speed. In software design, there are improvements and innovations from whole software structure to arithmetic of concrete modules.
