The structural design of agriculture technology research and developing center building of Farming and Forestry Academy of Hebei in Shijiazhuang is studied in this paper. The analysis is focused on two key phases: structural scheme and structural design, by using the concept designing method, and providing detailed engineering data and plentiful charts.The study of the structural scheme includes some key problems such as confirming the structural system, setting deformation joint, controling the height-width ratio, uniforming the stiffness in the vertical direction, and seismic concept design, etc. The study of structural designing includes three parts: load design, computer analysis for whole structure, and design for special constitution. The confirming for seismic dynamic parameters, CQC analysis method and time-history analysis method for seismic analysis are emphasized in the study of computer analysis for whole structure. The study of designing for special constitution focuses on the Y-shape column, bracing method for large span cantilever and bearing column girder, cockle stairs on the first floor and so on.The difficult problem of clear span and clear height are resolved by Y-shape column and bracing method in this project, and favorable engineering usage effects are achieved and valuable designing experiences are accumulated for other similar projects.
