Main Stem Port Leading Model Based On Minimum Carriage Of Container Multimodal Transport

Containerization and mufti-modal transport is a result with modernized communications and transportation, and the important component with modernized logistics, many type through transport of the container is an advanced form of containerized transport development, it regards container as the transportation unit, putting different transportation ways organically together, forming continuous comprehensive integrated freight transportation.However, for various reasons, most present researches have mainly discussed the port and railways respectively, and the few studies concerning the entire procedure of Multi-model transported by containers has focused on problems and defects in related law and regulations. This paper begins with the fundamental theories concerning containers, mufti-modal transport and corridor of mufti-modal transport by container. And in following parts, it introduces the present conditions and problems of corridor of mufti-modal transport by container in Zhu SanJiao of China.Based on the above analysis, an integrated planning of depots involving in the Multi-model container transport is conducted using the subject function c-clustering method which is taken into consideration various means of transport. In the meantime,suggestions and advice are advanced on the further improvement and development of corridor of mufti-modal transport by container in Southeast of China.
