Research On The Hardware Of Training Simulation System For Substation

Training simulation system for substation, which is used to train the workers of substation, is designed according to the model of real substation. Students can master the flow of operation for the substation function by operating simulation screen and observing the phenomenon shown by the training simulation system.Old hardware of training simulation system uses industrial control computer to monitor equipment of simulation system. Owing to the high price of industrial control computer, centralized control is used, which makes it difficult to be fixed and maintained. So an embedded control device, based on ARM, is designed aiming at the problem caused by using industrial control computer. Embedded control device is fixed in the simulation screen. It makes the simulation screen to be a nod of the Ethernet network and be local controlled. General I/O interface is supplied on embedded control device, and different I/O modules are equipped to meet the need of simulation screen control.μC/OS-II is transplanted to be the operating system of the embedded control device. And socket is used for communication to ensure the flow of information to be fast and expedite. Stipulation of the flow of switching value, such as output, input, analog output and liquid crystal output is established to convenience computer of controlling the whole simulation screen.On account of far distance from the real equipment and simulation control room, wireless control terminal and communication converter is designed to make fixing the added control device easy. Wireless control terminal works by the supply of battery. And to prolong the use of battery, 74HC166 and 74HC595 (serial and parallel converter) is used to increase to I/O port.The design of hardware of training simulation system for substation in this article is applied in the item of training simulation system for station of Bajiazi in Song Yuan, Jilin province. The design has the advantage of simple structure and real time performance, which will improve the reality of simulation and have wide application.
