Research Of Industrial Design Methodology Based On Chinese Design Thoughts And Science Of Human Affairs

Although Chinese contemporary design has had nearly thirty years, there are still many problems to be solved. The reason can be classified into three parts, including people's wrong cognition of Chinese industrial design, lacking of Chinese industrial design theory and short of design experience. This dissertation is focusing on Chinese industrial design methodology based on the combination of Chinese design thoughts and Science of human affairs, to build an industrial design method frame.The research has attained the following achievements,1. In view of the situation that Chinese industrial design almost relies on western design theory, the dissertation demostrates that China has its own design source and should carry on ancient design thoughts in new period;2. The dissertation reviews the development of design thoughts and extracts essence of these thoughts, which are the ones can be inherited in new period;3. After analyzing the necessity of using design thoughts in new period and the feasibility of combining design thoughts and Science of human affairs, the thesis puts forward in the first time Chinese industrial design pattern, which is"Chinese Design = Chinese design thoughts + Chinese design method";4. The dissertation improves the Science of human affairs frame by expanding design external element to"Human-Environment"system, changing design internal element from"Material"to"Material-Immaterial"system and absorbing Chinese design thoughts as design evaluating criterion.The dissertation, building a frame of industrial design methodology based on Chinese design thoughts and Science of human affairs, initiates Chinese industrial design system as a start.
