| Bucket foundation is a new type of foundation for offshore platform. Comparing with the other pile foundation and gravity foundation bucket foundation has some advantages, such as cost-effectiveness, simplicity of installation, and its reusing, which makes it have widely application. The basic precondition of bucket foundation platform application is that it can be penetrated into the target during setup, can stand stably during work and can be pulled out during removal. One of the critical issues in the design of the bucket foundation is to determine the ultimate bearing capacity; however the calculation of bucket foundation bearing capacity is far from the engineering practice.The problem of bearing capacity is virtually the problem of interaction between bucket foundation and the soil. To solve the problem, aim at the problem of stability during work and the uplift capacity during removal, the dissertation analyzes the vertical and horizontal bearing capacity of the bucket foundation under the static load, and discusses the character of bearing under the horizontal cycle dynamical load. The main works done are as follows:1. The research status of ultimate bearing capacity has been reviewed and summarized.2. The academic computation formulas of the vertical and horizontal bearing capacity with different failure mechanisms have been discussed.3. The vertical and horizontal bearing capacities under the static load have been analyzed by ABAQUS, which is numerical simulation software of finite element. The constitutive model employed is Mohr-Coulomb plasticity with linear elasticity assumed within the yield strength surface and takes the contact interaction between bucket foundation and the soil into account. By using the finite element method, it is to get the results of ultimate bearing capacity under kinds of work situation, to analyze the influence of soil parameter. The character of bearing under the horizontal cycle dynamical load is discussed by comparing with that under the static load.4. To make an example and compare the numerical simulation results with the theoretic analyze results. Finite element simulation results are in good agreement with theoretic analyze ones. It means that the analysis theory proposed in the dissertation is reasonable, and it can be referred for construction design. |
