Research On Amalgamated Dwelling In Germany

This paper starts with a summary of the emergence and evolution of amalgamated dwelling in association with the history of urban houses. It's mainly focused on the introduction of the development of German amalgamated dwelling design in the 50years after the World War I. The systematical study is about the policies, the theories, the conceptions, and the practice of hosing design in Germany. Taking the economic and social development as the background of the research, the paper analyses the developing trace of the housing policies and their results of effectuation. And it introduces the basic theories of the amalgamated dwelling, which are holding distinguish features and arose from the condition of Germany. These theories are considered as the premise and foundation of housing design. With the guidance of relative polices and theories, many German architects put forward lots of new and special conceptions about amalgamated dwelling design which have been carried on successfully. Furthermore, there appears a great deal of different tendencies made many attempts in this field which give rise to close attention to German society. The paper also introduces some international building exhibitions and looks for the law of the development of history. It summarize the propelling force of the exhibitions to the amalgamated dwelling.
