Along with the rapid development of the technology and national economy, flammable liquids has been largely used in both people's daily life and industrial productions. But as the flammability of all the flammable liquids is quite high, and the lower explosion limit of its steam is usually lower, the flammable liquids has great fire and explosion hazard during the process of storage and use.Coating operation is a kind of typical industrial operation that used flammable liquids. The solvent used in the coating process can easily vaporized and has a quite low flash point, thus the fire and explosion hazard of the coating workplace is quite great. This paper analyzed the mechanism of fire and explosion in coating workplace, analyzed the fire and explosion suppression measure used in coating workplace, and established a fire and explosion safety evaluation model for coating workplace based on Fuzzy-AHP synthesis method. This paper mainly comes to the following conclusions:1. Analyzed electrostatic spray principle, fire hazard of the solvent, and the atomization and evaporation process of solvent during coating process, educed a formula to calculate the concentration of solvent steam in the coating workplace. The fire and explosion process of coating workplace has also been analyzed;2. Compared several kinds of fire protection system from the point of system working principle and fireproof mechanism, and chosen explosion suppression systems suitable for coating workplace based on its fire and explosion accident characteristics;3. Analyzed both the advantages and disadvantages of several kinds of safety evaluation method, and compared the applicability of these methods for coating workplace. Established a fire and explosion safety evaluation model for coating workplace based on Fuzzy-AHP synthesis method, and explain the whole calculate process in detail;4. Based on the actual situation of coating workshop within a bicycle factory in Tianjin, chosen an appropriate fire and explosion suppression system, made the design and calculation of it based on the correlative criterion, and proposed a recommendation for the fire detector Selection and installation. Finally, applied the fire and explosion safety evaluation model for coating workplace based on Fuzzy-AHP synthesis method in this factory, educed the fire safety evaluation value and grade of the coating workshop of this factory.
