This paper considering public facilities as objects of study presents a new design option by the researche of the developments of Chinese classical gardens and influential factors of moods in gardens.Combined with intelligences and blent with scenes, the conception of Chinese public facilities has a higher artistic conception. As basically factors,the colors, extures and shapes are not allowed to be omitted. Through the combination of these elements, they can establish certain moods and shape environal atmospheres. While People also can be used to express the sensory characteristics of a certain moods. For example, in public facilities, a certain natural tastes can be created by the sound. When public facilities are shocked by water; We obtain essences of lives from the sweet of flowers or alternating color from the alternation of seasons. It can make more impressive atmospheres by virtue of hearing, smell, touch and vision.The introduction of paper introduces background, actualities at home and abroad ,main contents, and the sense of study; Development of Chinese gardens, influences by Chinese traditional culture as well as philosophy, moods of gardens, artistic options, characteristics of Chinese gardens, trends of developments and changes of function are mentioned in chapter one; Chapter II are consisted of the conceptions of public facilities, functions of gardens and relations between facilities and fields of gardens; As the most important parts of parper, Chapter III focus on design options of Chinese gardens, summrizes the features of public facilities, and describes the directions of development. As the Summer Palace for an example, we take advantage of the theories summarized, design the public facilities of Summer Palace so as to make a few better improvements at last chaper.
