In view of torsional vibration occured frequently on large turbine generator shafts,the thesis develops the torsional vibration measurement system of turbine genetator shafts,according to the shafts's characteristics.and provides a method which can improves the measuring accuracy of torsional vibration, The method improves anti-interference capacity by introducing peak sequence detection and trace filtering at part of preceding signal processing. Experiment results show that the method can be used to realize high precise measurement of torsional vibration in complicated condition in complicated condition.The thesis also studies the method of signal processing in torsional vibration measurement, In this foundation it studies some method of fault detect in torsional vibration such as electric power network short-circuit,faulty synchronization,power system oscillation,loss of excitation asynchronous and load rejection. At the last the thesis simulates several kinds of electrical faults and has detected them.
