With the improvement of quality of human life, the safety of drinking water gets more and more attention. This work aims at overcoming the problem of the high-temperature disinfection and pharmacy disinfection, and researchs an environment-friendly disinfection method of disinfection - electrocatalysis.As to the problem of low activity and expensive cost of DSA electrode, a new cathode material for wastewater treatment was studied in this paper. The cathode was prepared by impulse electrodeposition on stainless steel substrate, with amorphous ingredients Ni-W-P as a carrier, doped SiC and the rare earth element. The experimental results show that the optimum conditions for electrode preparation is that current density is 10 A/dm2, PH is 4.5, temperature is 65℃, duty ratio is 1:3~5, frequency range is 300~800 Hz. The cathode has high catalytic performance, surface area, effectively improving H2O2 reaction rate on the cathode surface. The cathode has the advantage of high hardness and wear resistance. The result shown that catalytic electrodes had a high efficient activity, by comparing the different parameters under the catalytic effect of disinfection and determine the best parameters. These parameters include the best voltage (6.0V), time (60min) , stirring speed (468r/min) ,the electrode arrangement (bipolar) and electrode distance (10mm) . It was found that the the electro catalytic method had high durative disinfection ability to the drinking water.The results of the colorimetry show that when the stainless steel electrode was used in the degradation process of wastewater, OH, which has a strong oxidation force, was generated.
