Plate heat exchangers are widely used in various fields of industrial production. In order to design a more innovative and efficient heat exchanger, the enhanced performance of all kinds of heat transfer enhancement process. And it could make full use of energy and energy-saving reduction.In this paper, a new heat exchange plate——dimpled plate has been created and the theoretical analysis is discussed and the theoretical models of heat transfer process in dimpled plate and flat plate are built in fifteen different condition of the velocity of flow. By applying Fluent commercial software, heat transfer process and flow characteristics of heat exchanger form diffident Reynolds in which the medium is water have been studied by three-dimension numerical simulation. According the special characteristics of the research object,,the laminar flow model and the RNG k-εmodel are used to predict the heat transfer and flow behavior.Firstly, the fluid temperature, velocity and pressure field distribution form different waterloo diameter,height and pitch of fifteen kinds of dimple plate have been done. The paper generalizes the wall Nu, pressure loss and the resistance coefficient of dimpled plate by data analysis. The heat transfer and flow characteristics of dimple plate are analyzed in diffident waterloo diameter,height and pitch of dimple plate. Analysis of diameter, pitch and height point on the dimple plate which impact of the dimple plate heat exchanger and the flow resistance achieve the best waterloo of diameter, pitch and height. And the paper also discusses theory of enhanced heat transfer mechanism.Secondly, in order to compare with flat plate, in this paper the heat transfer and flow characteristics of flat plate are calculated and simulated in the same conditions. The curves of temperature, heat transfer, the wall Nu, the export pressure and the resistance coefficient of dimpled plate and smooth plate have been draw in different Reynolds. Compared with a smooth plate heat exchanger, the heat transfer characteristics of a dimpled plate is higher.Finally, results of numerical simulation of dimpled plate and smooth plate and experimental results are proved to be inosculated and compared to validate reliability of numerical simulation. Therefore, the technique of numerical simulation is a perfect and effective means to research the heat transfer study. And the evaluation have been give to the best specifications of dimple plate and waved plate whenβ= 60°for the thermal performance, concluded: In considering the pump power consumption when dimple plate and the thermal efficiency of the thermal efficiency of corrugated board is very close. But the dimple plate is better in the manufacturing process, facilitated process and it is not easy deformation of the advantages of strong pressure. Therefore, comprehensive evaluation of the economic dimple plate applicability is better than waved plate.
