Plate heat exchangers have been widely used in different industrial applications for nearly a century. This type of compact heat exchangers provides a number of advantages over other heat exchangers, such as high effectiveness, compactness, easy cleaning, etc. However, the necessarily raised consumption of energy for the compensation of the occurring friction pressure drop is often disadvantageous. Numerical simulation of fluid flow and heat transfer in plate heat exchangers is a helpful method for the design and optimization of the heat exchanger. This method has more utilities than the complicated and expensive experiment method. This text takes the chevron-type plate heat exchangers as the subject investigated . And based it, author simulated and developed a new net-streamed plate, which this text named it as waved plate.Through the contrast among the three kinds of turbulence models: Standard k— ε turbulence model, Rea k— ε turbulence model, RNG k— ε turbulence model , the mathematical models of the flow and heat transfer of the plate heat exchanger are established, which is the RNG k— ε turbulence model . The software is used to simulate the influence on the heat transfer capability and flow resistance of the plate heat exchanger by unstructured grid. Corrugation β ,height h and pitch / embossed on the plate have import influence on the thermal and hydraulic performance of chevron-type plate heat exchangers . Through the numerical simulation of the three import parameters for chevron-type plate heat exchangers , this paper firstly got the three-dimensional velocity field, pressure field and temperature field . Based on the mathematical analysis of the simulating data, author got a set of optimization parameters for the chevron-type plate heat exchanger . And author has fitted the criterion equation in the Reynolds number range 30000.66 Pr1/3 , whichincluded the influence factors of all the three import parameters. The criterion equationwill offer guidance significance in the future design and application for the chevron-type plate heat exchangers.Furthermore, in the base of chevron-type the plate heat exchangers, author simulated and developed a new net-streamed plate, which this text named it as waved plate. Through the numerical simulation for the waved plate in the £ range of 30 0 80° .author found the plate 30° more effective on the thermal and hydraulic performance of plate heat exchangers. Through the mathematical analysis of the simulating data, we fitted the criterion equation in the Reynolds number range( ft \0244500
