It has become a worldwide topic to search and apply the renewable energy such as solar energy in the case of shortage of non-renewable energy and breakage of environment nowadays. Photovoltaic systems have been applied widely because of the benefit to environment .But under the influence of the sunlight intensity and surroundings temperature, the cost of solar array experiments is too high and the cycle of research and development becomes too long. The solar array simulator can shorten the cycle greatly and improve the efficiency of investigation and reliability of result.The theme studies the Physical and mathematic models of silicon solar cells and chooses the appropriate one to the simulator on the base of the study. Then it chooses point-by-point difference algorithms to confirm the work points of the simulator based on both the math model and capability of the simulator.The intent to the theme which designs 500W digital solar energy cell simulator is prepareing for researching main circuits of great power simulator. According to request topology of main circuits in great power simulator, it chooses DC-DC full bridge convertor to topology of main circuits. The combination of the digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407 of TI and digital signal controller dsPIC30F2020 of Microchip is selected as the control core. Whole digital control predigests hardware circuit greatly and carries out application on digital control in power transform, whole controlling power supply by running its software.On the basic of voltage-current-closed loop control, voltage-closed loop control strategy changes enganced-PI arithmetic into integral-separate-PI arithmetic, which decreases it adjusting time and gives attention to celerity and stability.Due to limited experimental time, it puts forward the emulation-results of the experiment and makes sure that simulator in my design has a good performance. It steady working points tallies with the ones on the simulator I-V output curve of solar array and simulates their dynamic transformation when the load is changed.
