For Francis turbine, there are many factors that may affect the efficiency of turbine, for example, spiral case, stay vane, wicket gate,runner,draft tube and flow parts in side hydraulic passage, all can do effect on the efficiency of turbine; and also the runner is the nucleus of the turbine and has a decided influence on turbine efficiency, so the optimization design to the runner of turbine is the most important part in turbine design.In recent ten years, a technical tool of flow mechanics-CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) has been widely used in the field of fluid machine design, especially in the field of the optimization design of fluid machine ,and it has been a main means in turbine design. We can develop excellent turbine with much better abilities by the combination of CFX method and model test technology, which has greatly promoted the development of turbine technique, shortened the period of turbine design, reduced cost. It can also predict abilities of turbine accurately, and improved the quality of turbine hydraulic design technology remarkably. Papers of ANSYS-CFX11.0 simulation software to the turbine runner leaves the three-dimensional flow and energy distribution of numerical simulation, the repair of the leaves after the performance analysis, carries on the analysis after the repairing leaf blade's each performance index, obtains the leaf blade thickness through the optimized design to be best change, for reduction of vibration of the runner,spatial eclipse, vortex rope, aspect and so on control stability proposes the new improvement method.Papers main contents are: 1, analysis of the vibration caused hydraulic turbine reasons, and the runner through the optimal design to reduce and control the hydraulic vibration, reach optimal working conditions in the turbine when the best operating efficiency; 2, Blade runner reduce the thickness, the application of technology CFX numerical model, and optimize the design of turbine blades. Research shows that will be based on the finite element method structural analysis of simulation technology applied to turbine runner structural optimization analysis, can reduce the development cycle and reduce development costs, have important Theoretical and practical projects.
