The surge is one phenomenon of periodically fluctuation, and it is resulted from the disengagement of airflow circumrotation of compressors and deviated working point from the balance point of compressors. The pressure and flow of compressors will fluctuate deeply and periodically when the compressor work in surge condition. The surge will shorten the life time, low efficiency, and destroy the compressor for the serious surge. There are two main reasons for surge, the worse working condition and the lack of effective anti-surge control system. Therefore, it is an important significance to research the active controlling of the turbo compressor. The main contents and results of this thesis are as following:(1) After systematic introduction of the base parameter, performance curve, and adjusting process characteristics of the turbo compressor, the method of adjusted inlet is confirmed for turbo compressor.(2) A new controlling system for constant pressure and constant flow is developed under considering influence of the temperature performance curve.(3) The principle and influencing factor of the surge is studied base on the performance curve of the compressor. In order to ensure compressor safety, a new active control method is proposed after deeply researching of anti-surge, the method is based on adjustment of PID using variation of gain and integral coefficient combining for turbo compressor.(4) The designed one anti-surge control system is perfectly applyed to practice, the results of the application suggest that the system has fleetly respond speed, better precision than traditional PID method, and which could effectively reduce the energy consumption and improve efficiency to turbo compressor.
