With the increasing of traffic and heavy vehicle, bleeding and rutting are the most commonly observed pavement distresses in highways. Recent years, many asphalt surfaces are afflicted by rutting damages. It will affect not only driving comfort but also the driving security. Since asphalt mixture inherent in the viscoelastic properties, the impact of high-temperature asphalt pavement stability, water stability of the diversity of factors, the complexity of the formation of rutting, makes permanent deformation becoming a worldwide problem, the prevention and treatment of asphalt pavement rutting has becomeed an important research topic on highway technical personnel around the world.Firstly,under the influence of the different molding methods, the volume parameters of asphalt mixture are different. By using respectively the Marshall molding method and rolling molding method to mold asphalt mixture, the essay analyses the volume parameters of asphalt mixture on volume of air voids, voids in mineral aggregate and voids filled with asphalt. The results indicate that Marshall molding method of asphalt mixture on the volume of Air Voids is lower than rolling molding method of asphalt mixture, rolling molding method on degree of compaction would not fulfill the requirement. When asphalt mixture is carried out Marshall test ,we should add rolling times to control the quality of the performance mixture,so that asphalt mixture would fulfill the requirement.Secondly,this paper analyzed the high temperature performance of Lanlian AH—90 by experiments. The Grade AC—13 and AC—16 was selected. through rutting test for asphalt mixes with six types of gradation and asphalt cement, the purpose of studying was to assess the relation ship between asphalt mixes dynamic stability and asphalt cement and air void, then to analyse the rule of asphalt mixture rutting with different gradation types. The largest in the same nominal size, the Green Mixture coarse aggregate proportion of the higher, with a smaller amount of asphalt can improve the asphalt mixture of anti-rutting ability to the contrary, the asphalt Mixture small amount of material increase or asphalt Increase will reduce the asphalt mixture of anti-rutting ability. Porosity is also an important factor affecting rutting, the porosity of the small asphalt mixture will help on improveing the strength and durability of the road, but not too low, below 3 percent, in the summer, the asphalt mixture does not have sufficient internal gap. Easy expansion will inevitably cause out of oil and flowing, a deformation and rutting. Voidage asphalt mixture designing is also an important indicator.
