Abstract/Summary:
The large stone asphalt mixture (short for LSAM) has the good properties of eliminating the reflect crack and resistance the rutting, it can effectively solve these problems of semi-rigid asphalt pavement, such as cracking and high temperature deformation. This article refers to the research result of LSAM at home and abroad, directed against the lack of the application on laboratory vibratory molding method that can simulate field vibratory compaction of vibratory roller, especially when this method is applied to LSAM, the laboratory experiment based on design and vibratory compaction method of LSAM treated base has been researched. At first, this paper analyses the composition and intensity mechanism of LSAM, and introduces the grading filler theory, according to it and based on multi-grade stone-to-stone theory, gradation composition of coarse and fine gradation is designed, and then they are calculated by combining. At last, gradation with the skeleton dense built-in structure is addressed.Secondly, large scale Marshall Compaction test and vibratory molding method are used to ascertain asphalt content of LSAM. The laboratory vibratory molding method is emphsised, which is based on the self-developed vibratory molding machine and under different of allocation conditions, in order to find out the optimum combination of vibratory parameters for LSAM. Then mixture proportioning design is discussed under the optimum combination of vibratory parameters,Last, the vibratory molding test and the large scale Marshall Compaction test are compared. First, various of physical indexes of specimens after formed by the vibratory molding test and the large scale Marshall Compaction test are compared; second, the extraction test has been applied to the mixture specimens under vibratory compaction and Marshall Compaction, then the crushing condition of aggregate grading after the extraction test is compared. Third, the compaction of the two methods is discussed.
