Association Of Outside Space-research Of Huizhou's Traditional Settlements

Outside association space, which is the product of the interaction between human being and the nature, was and is widely applied home and abroad in the past and at the present, and plays an important role in Huizhou's architecture community. The contradiction and conflict between the new and old settlement surroundings is sharpening nowadays, especially in the process of fast urbanization. Planning and architectural design simply copies the prevailing modern fads without exploration and absorption of regional culture. Traditional culture and cultural traditions greatly affect the overall characteristic of traditional settlement space, and should be inherited in time and developed.However, the current situation is that there are not sufficient researches on Huizhou's traditional settlement space, especially on the outside association space which is the'personalization'space of the settlement. Many researches have been done on the form and organization of space, but much fewer researches have been done on the outside space and human's behavior.Based on the conclusion and summarization of the investigation of representative villages in Huizhou, space type and people's behavior are emphatically analyzed, relation between traditional settlement space and people's behavior is extracted, and elements that decide the use of space are concluded in the paper, so as to establish the practical significance of this paper in the research of Huizhou's traditional settlement space and modern planning and design. The paper comprises six chapters.Chapter 1: review and summarization of researches on Huizhou's traditional settlements;Chapter 2: conclusion of the settlements that are investigated;Chapter 3: discussion on the space organization of Huizhou's traditional settlements;Chapter 4: elaboration on the relation between outside space and behavior, psychological analysis;Chapter 5: conclusion and summarization of analysis on the types of outside space of traditional settlements and human's behavior;Chapter 6: on the protection of outside space of Huizhou's traditional settlements, and the significance of the research on outside space for modern planning and design;The whole paper comprises 50,000 Chinese characters and 252 pictures.
