Research On Characteristic And Development Of Kunming Living Space

Sustainable development of city is becoming more and more important under the background of losing world living space. Habitation is one of basic functions of city. Appropriate arrangement and layout of city is the key to city sustainable development and happiness of resident. However, this issue is turning to more complex and the goal is even more difficult to achieve. Under this background, where is the development direction of our city, how the living space will become are the questions that we must reply.This paper selects Kunming living space as object of research. On the basis of defining living space, the article gives research on general rule and character of city living space, and give the comprehensive analysis and the research to the Kunming living space shape and the structure characteristic, then give thorough analysis on driving mechanism which formed the Kunming living space shape and the structural feature on the support of correlation theories. Finally, the thesis demonstrates whether the foreign successful living space development pattern is suitable to Kunming under the clear and specific principles and goals. At last, the paper gives the conclusions: the only development direction of Kunming living space is centralized development, and perfect mass transit and infrastructure are the precondition, at the same time city planning is the policy guarantee.
