Since variable air volume (VAV) air-conditioning system is multivariable, strongly coupled, nonlinear and time variant. When the several control loops in the control system are working together, there is intense coupled among them, the loops influence as well as interfere each other. Its design, performance and management are more difficult than constant air volume (CAV) system, and stable control of the entire VAV system is focused.According to VAV system has coupling and difficult to operate stably, the system is decomposed into unit and terminal. Then this paper presents control strategy of adaptive PID controller to control units of VAV air conditioning system based on the single neuron. Firstly, the paper analyses the fundamental compose and control loops of the VAV; Secondly, introduces the theory of linearity-regression and least two multiplication, and get the dynamic model of unit (2-input and 2-output) according to the least two multiplication, then validates the model; Thirdly, the paper applies the adaptive PID controller to control units of VAV air conditioning system based on the single neuron, coordinating control strategy of nerve center adaptive control; Finally, the validation was made in the paper through Matlab simulation software for the control strategy, the results show that simulation effect is almost turns up trumps control strategy is efficiency.
