As well deputies of ancient high-rise buildings, masonry pagodas are significant to study ancient building technologies and history of architectures in China. Built many years ago and impacted by some facts, masonry pagodas preserved need to be repaired and reinforced imminently for built long years ago and impacted by some facts. In this paper, in light of characters of collapsed loess, the mechanisms of deviation of masonry pagodas are analyzed. And the Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation analysis of the whole process of deviation rectification of Daxiang Pagoda in Heyang, Shaanxi Province has been done. The results of the calculation are contrast to that of soil test. The follows are in details:1. In light of mechanism of collapsed loess and calculation methods of collapsed deformations, the impact facts of collapsed characters such as the micro-structure, component and physical characters are analyzed.2. In light of compression test, the relationship of compression deformation and water-content are researched. Based on characters of the non-sensitive stage, sensitive stage and reduction stage in curve of compression deformation and water-content, the non-incline, incline abruptly and incline excessive in simulation of deviation rectification are discussed.3. The mechanism of deviation of masonry pagodas and adaptability of some deviation rectification technologies are analyzed. It indicated that the soil-draw-out method and water-injected method are effective to deviation rectification of masonry pagodas in collapsed loess.4. In light mechanism of deviation of masonry pagodas, the theory of deviation rectification of masonry pagodas by water-inject in collapsed loess are studied. Based on four stages of settlement of subsoil in deviation rectification by water-injection, the computing model is set up. By Finite Element Method software the whole process of deviation rectification of Daxiang Pagoda in Heyang, Shaanxi Province has been simulated. And the calculation results are accordant to that according to soil original state in laboratory.
